Take action

5 quick and easy things you can do to help us end destitution:

1) In 1 minute you can send an email to ask your MP to contact the Home Sectretary about giving support to destitute asylum seekers.

2) In 3 minutes you could make a donation to our destitution fund to help provide food, toiletries and bus fares to those who are destitute

3) In 5 minutes you could join our Facebook group and let us know what you think about destitution and any action you have taken to help end it

4) In a Saturday morning you could go and see your local MP, and ask that he/she raise the issue of destitution with the Home Secretary. See our resources section for details of how to do this

With any action you take, please tell your friends and ask them to take action too, and let us know any response from your MP by emailing us at campaigns@refugee-action.org.uk

You can also let us know what you've done by writing on our Facebook page

"I was taken away in a car by the secret police. It was terrifying. They interrogated me and accused me of being a foreign spy."
